Wicomico counties shall receive fifteen dollars ($15.00) for every
day's attendance upon the sessions of said court not to exceed in
Wicomico County the sum of six hundred dollars ($600.00) in any-
one year and in Wicomico County each of the judges of the orphans'
court shall receive an allowance of four dollars ($4.00) for mileage
for every day's attendance upon the sessions of said court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 402
(House Bill 715)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 89 (b) of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Alcoholic Beverages", subtitle "Hours and Days for Sale", includ-
ing Kent County among those counties permitting the sale of alco-
holic beverages on New Year's Day under certain conditions.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 89 (b) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", subtitle "Hours and Days
for Sale", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
89.
(b) In Cecil [County] and Kent Counties the board of license com-
missioners upon application shall issue a special permit authorizing
licensees therein to stay open on New Year's Day without regard to
any restrictions as to hours or days of sale contained in this subtitle;
but the said licensees shall be subject to regulations adopted by the
board restricting and specifying the hours during which classes of
such licensees may stay open on New Year's Day.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 164 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Howard County (1957 Edition,
being Article 14 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Howard County," subtitle "Planning and Subdivision Con-
trol," relating generally to the action of the Planning Commission
of Howard County on approval or disapproval of plats, plans or
studies and to the effect of such action.
