pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
76.
(h) When jurisdiction shall have been obtained by the court in
the case of any child, such child shall continue under the jurisdiction
of the court until he becomes 21 years of age unless discharged prior
thereto; provided, however, that nothing herein contained shall af-
fect the jurisdiction of other courts over offenses committed by such
child after he reaches the age of 18. If any child between the ages of
16 and 18 years brought before the judge in the exercise of the afore-
said jurisdiction is charged with the commission of an act or acts
which would amount to a misdemeanor or felony if committed by an
adult, the judge after full investigation, may in his discretion waive
jurisdiction and order such child held for action under the regular
procedure that would follow if such act or acts had been committed
by an adult.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 398
(House Bill 575)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 51 (h) of
Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supple-
ment), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "County Treas-
urers," and to add new Section 51 (v) to the said article and sub-
title of the Code, to follow immediately after Section 51 (u) there-
of, to change the salary of the County Treasurer of Queen Anne's
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 51 (h) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1962 Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle
"County Treasurers," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments; and that new Section 51 (v) be and it is hereby
added to the said Article and subtitle of the Code to follow immedi-
ately after Section 51 (u) thereof, and to read as follows:
51(h). The County ([treasurers of Caroline and Queen Anne's
counties shall each] treasurer of Caroline County shall receive an
annual salary of $3,000.00.
51(v). The County Treasurer of Queen Anne's County shall receive
an annual salary of three thousand six hundred dollars ($3,600.00).
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not be ap-
plicable to the County Treasurer in office on the effective date of this
Act, but the provisions shall be applicable with the next term of of-
fice.
