AN ACT to repeal Sections 395 to 417, 408, inclusive, of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition, being Ar-
ticle 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Alle-
gany County", sub-title "Manufacturers and Miners", and to repeal
said sub-title, repealing obsolete local laws of Allegany County con-
cerning the payment of wages to the employees of certain corpora-
tions, indebtedness to such corporations, the operation of certain
corporations engaged in mining or manufacturing or operating a
railroad in Allegany County and the so-called "Minors' Relief
Fund" applicable to the business of coal mining or clay mining in
Allegany County, and relating generally to the operations of cer-
tain manufacturers and miners and to their employees in Allegany
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 395 to 417 408, inclusive, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Manufacturers and Miners", be and they are hereby repealed and
that said sub-title be and it is also hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 259

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 551 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition,
being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Allegany County", sub-title "State's Attorney", removing
from the local laws of Allegany County an obsolete reference to
the position of law assistant therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 551 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany
County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title "State's At-
torney", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

The County Commissioners for Allegany County are hereby di-
rected, authorized and empowered to pay the office expenses, includ-
ing rent, stationery, printing, telephone, stamps, necessary steno-
graphic services and any other expense that may be essential for the
proper maintenance of the [offices] OFFICE of the State's Attorney
[and Law Assistant], and also any other expense necessary and inci-
dent to the maintenance and conduct of said [offices] office as may
