Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Subsection (d) be and it is hereby added to Section 8 of
Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title
"Corporations," subtitle "Formation of Corporations," to follow im-
mediately after Subsection (c) thereof; and that Section 130 (a) (4) of
said Article and Code, title "Corporations," subtitle "Recording and
Filing with the State Tax Commission," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, both to read as follows:

(d) Any resident agent may resign as resident agent but his resig-
nation shall not be effective until ten days after an original counter-
part thereof has been filed with the Commission unless at the time of
such resignation such corporation has one or more other resident
agents.

(a) (4) For acceptance of service of process or notice upon the
Commission on behalf of either a foreign corporation or a corporation
of this State ............................................................................................$5
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(House Bill 229)
AN ACT to add new Section 7A to Article 62 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Marriages," to follow im-
mediately after Section 7 thereof, permitting clerks of courts to
destroy applications for marriage licenses where no license has
been obtained within ninety (90) days after the application was
made.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 7A be and it is hereby added to Article 62 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Marriages,"
to follow immediately after Section 7 thereof, and to read as follows:
7A.
Where no license has been obtained within ninety (90) days after
making the application for license, the clerks of the courts aforesaid
may destroy the application.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
