284                                LAWS OF MARYLAND                        [CH. 154

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Board of County Commissioners of Carroll County is au-
thorized and directed to provide for the publication of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Carroll County, being Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland. The board is authorized and directed
to make the necessary appropriations to defray the costs of publica-
tion, and it further is authorized and directed to provide for the sale
and distribution of the Code.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That when the Code is pub-
lished it is hereby legalized. It shall contain all Public Local Laws
relating to Carroll County in effect after the last regular session of
the General Assembly of Maryland, prior to the publication of the
Code, and it shall contain the Charters of the several municipal cor-
porations within Carroll County. In the discretion of the county
commissioners, it may contain the ordinances and/or resolutions of
the county commissioners; and it may also contain the ordinances
and/or resolutions of any or all of the several municipal corporations
within Carroll County provided, however, that any municipal cor-
poration desiring to include its ordinances and/or resolutions in the
Code shall pay to the County Commissioners whatever sum shall be
necessary to defray the costs of making such an inclusion. The Code
shall be deemed and taken in all the courts of this state and by all
justices of the peace and trial magistrates of the state and by all
other public officials of the state and of any political subdivision
thereof to be evidence of the Public Local Laws and/or ordinances
and resolutions of Carroll County in existence at the time of com-
pilation.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 154
(Senate Bill 13)

AN ACT to repeal Section 299 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Health," subtitle "Registration of
Nurses," and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
290, 291, 293, 295, 296, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307 and 309 of the said
Article (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), subtitles, respec-
tively, "Registration of Nurses" and "Licensed Practical Nurses,"
and to renumber and recodify Sections 300 through 310, inclusive,
of the said Article and subtitle SUBTITLES of the Code, said
sections hereafter to be numbered respectively, as Sections 299
through 309, inclusive of the said Article and subtitle SUBTITLES
of the Code, amending, clarifying and removing obsolete matter
from the laws relating to registered nurses and licensed practical
nurses, making corrections therein, renumbering and recodifying
certain provisions therein, and relating generally to nurses and
nursing in the State.
