sive. It shall be unlawful to hunt
any upland game in any manner
in Garrett and Allegany counties
during the open season for the
hunting of deer.
May be hunted, pursued, or killed
for a period of seven days begin-
ning the first Saturday in De-
cember, except on the Woodmont
Rod and Gun Club in Washing-
ton County, December 15 to
December 24, inclusive, pro-
vided, that in counties having a
bow and arrow season, deer of
either sex can be killed between
October 15 and November 15, by
means of a bow and arrow. Ant-
lerless deer may be hunted, pur-
sued or killed by special permit,
at any time in such counties or
portions of counties as estab-
lished by regulation of the Game
and Inland Fish Commission ex-
cept that no such period for
hunting antlerless deer shall be
authorized in Frederick, Wash-
ington and Garrett counties ex-
cept that in the Hancock election
district of Washington County,
the Commission may reduce the
deer population in areas suffer-
ing from crop damage after
thorough investigation shows
that such action is justified. The
method of reducing the deer
population shall be at the dis-
cretion of the Commission ex-
cept that wherever feasible
trapping shall be preferred. The
deer which may be taken under
this provision shall be disposed
of by the Director of the Com-
mission as he may deem advis-
able and for the best interests
of the State. In Dorchester, St.
Mary's, Somerset, Wicomico and
Worcester counties, there shall
be a three-day open season for
antlerless deer beginning on a
Saturday prior to November 15
of each year, as established from
time to time by the Commission;
