(House Bill 184)
AN ACT to repeal the following sections of the Montgomery County
Code, 1960 (being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Montgomery County," SUBTITLE "CHAPTER
7. COURTS," Sections 7-6 and 7-7, subheading "Article I. In
General"; Sections 7-14, 7-18, 7-19 and 7-20, subheading "Article
II. Circuit Court Generally"; and Section 7-29, subheading
"Article III. Clerk of Circuit Court"; to repeal certain sec-
tions of the Montgomery County Code relating generally to the
Circuit Court of the county which are either obsolete or have been
repealed expressly or by implication by the Maryland Rules of Pro-
cedure adopted by the Court of Appeals of Maryland, effective Jan-
uary 1, 1961, or which have been repealed or made obsolete by
other public local or public general law of the General Assembly
of Maryland.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the following sections of the Montgomery County Code, 1960
(being Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Montgomery County," SUBTITLE "CHAPTER 7. COURTS,"
Sections 7-6 and 7-7, subheading "Article I. In General"; Sections
7-14, 7-18, 7-19 and 7-20, subheading "Article II. Circuit Court
Generally"; and Section 7-29, subheading "Article III. Clerk of
Circuit Court," be and they are hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 119
(House Bill 214)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 19 (1)
of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supple-
ment), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Criminal Jurisdic-
tion," to empower the justices of the peace who are now judges
of the People's Court of Montgomery County, in any case within
their jurisdiction, before or after conviction of any person accused
of crime, to suspend the imposition of sentence, to place such per-
sons on probation before commitment, to make written conditions
of suspension of sentence and probation and to strike out the sus-
pension and impose sentence upon violation of such condition and
relating generally thereto.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 19 (1) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1962 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle
"Criminal Jurisdiction," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
