County and Montgomery County to be known as Section 106A of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, (1953
Edition), being Article 17, Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,

it being Article 16, Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland and
titled in Montgomery County, "Montgomery County," subtitled "Part
2, General Local Laws," subheading "Chapter 1, General Provisions."

May 2, 1963.

Honorable Marvin Mandel
Acting Speaker
House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Md.

Dear Mr. Mandel:

In accordance with the provisions of Article 2, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill No. 887 and
am returning this Bill along with my veto message.

This Bill establishes a boundary line between Prince George's and
Montgomery Counties.

I have been advised by the Senator from Prince George's County
and the Chairman of the Prince George's County Delegation that
recently developed information indicates that the lines as drawn by
this Bill might result in injuries to certain residents of Prince
George's County.

They have, therefore, requested that I veto this Bill in order to
give them time to cause a new study of the line to be made.

For the reasons set forth above, I feel compelled to veto House
Bill 887.

With kind regards, I am

Sincerely yours,

(s) J. MILLARD TAWES,

Governor.
JMT/ECM/g/Encl.
