Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 88(a) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-title "Hours and
Days for Sale", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
88.
(a) It shall be unlawful for the keeper of any hotel, tavern, store,
drinking establishment or any other place where liquors are sold, or
for any person or persons, directly or indirectly, to sell, barter, give
or dispose of any spirituous or fermented liquors, ale or beer, or in-
toxicating drinks of any kind within any election district or precinct
of this State on the day of any general, special or primary election
hereafter to be held in such district or precinct during the hours
when the polls are open, [and one hour thereafter.] Any person
violating the provisions of this section shall be liable for indictment,
and shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than fifty dollars
($50.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each of-
fense.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(Senate Bill 178)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 47(c-4)
of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supple-
ment), title "Courts", sub-title "Salaries of Judges", to follow
immediately after Section 47(c-3) thereof, allowing the County
Commissioners of Frederick County to supplement the annual
salary of resident judges of the Sixth Judicial Circuit.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 47(c-4) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1962 Supplement), title "Courts," sub-title "Salaries of Judges,"
be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
47. (c-4)
Notwithstanding any other provisions of this section:
(A) The County Commissioners of Prince George's County are
authorized to pay from any amounts received from the State Comp-
troller under the provisions of subsection (c-1) hereof, in addition
to the sums provided by Section 282A of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Prince George's County, an amount not to exceed two thou-
sand five hundred dollars ($2500) per annum to each of the judges
of the circuit court of the seventh judicial circuit of Maryland who
resides in Prince George's County, and an amount not to exceed one
thousand two hundred fifty dollars ($1250) per annum to each of
the judges of the seventh judicial circuit who is a nonresident of
