2156                            JOINT RESOLUTIONS

Mr. Fulker leaves surviving his widow, Nellie, and a son Gary,
age 13; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That we express
our sympathy on the death of Raymond A. Fulker, and be it further

Resolved, That copies of this resolution are sent to Mrs. Nellie
Fulker, Route #3, Bel Air.

(Senate Joint Resolution 3)

Senate Joint Resolution creating a Commission for the study and
review of existing legislation and the need for additional legislation
concerning the Alcoholic Beverage laws in Montgomery County.

Whereas, For a period of years there has been no systematic study
and review of the Alcoholic Beverage Laws relating to Montgomery
County; and

Whereas, There have been only piece-meal changes of these laws
for a number of years; and

Whereas, A number of organizations, groups and businesses feel
there are inequities in and a need for a revision of these laws; and

Whereas, The social, economic, and legal implications of the
Alcoholic Beverage Laws are a matter of deep concern to the citi-
zenry and are fundamental factors in the welfare and well-being
of the County and its citizens; now, therefore, be it

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That (1), a Com-
mission is created and constituted to be designated and known as
The Montgomery County Citizens Study Commission on Alcoholic
Beverage Laws; (2), the membership of which Commission shall
consist of

(a)   One member from the Montgomery County Board of License
Commissioners to be named and designated by the Chairman of the
Board.

(b)   One member from the Allied Civic Group Incorporated to be
named and designated by the President of the Civic Group.

(c)   One member of the Montgomery County Civic Federation to
be named and designated by the President of the Civic Federation.

(d)   One member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau to be
named and designated by the President of the Farm Bureau.

(e)   One member of the League of Women Voters of Montgomery
County to be named and designated by the President of the League.

(f)   One member of the Montgomery County Medical Society to foe
named and designated by the President of the Medical Society.

(g)   One member of the Montgomery County Bar Association to
be named and designated by the President of the Bar Association.
