mission urges that all sectarian and non-sectarian voluntary family
and children's agencies offer their services and cooperation to other
agencies through the Department of Public Welfare so that a basic
family counselling service is available to Maryland families in time
of need; and
Whereas, Notice of any legislation passed by the General As-
sembly dealing with the problem of illegitimacy is an important
factor in the evaluation of current policies and procedures. The
Commission recommends that the Legislative Council advise the
State Board of Education, and the State Departments of Mental
Hygiene, Health, and Welfare and the Maryland Hospital Council of
such legislation following its passage; and
Whereas, These recommendations are all designed in one way or
another to achieve coordination and integration of the services that
deal with the problem of illegitimacy and carry out the Commission's
purpose of developing every possible means to combat fragmentation
and perfunctoriness on the part of the public and the State in dealing
with the problems of illegitimacy; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the State
Departments of Public Welfare, Health, Mental Hygiene, the State
Board of Education, the Legislative Council, and private family and
children's agencies be requested to take appropriate action pursuant
to the recommendations of the Commission to study problems of
illegitimacy designed to strengthen family life in Maryland and to
provide moral and religious guidance to citizens of the State; and be
it further
Resolved, That copies of this resolution are sent to the State De-
partment of Public Welfare, Health, Mental Hygiene, the State Board
of Education and the Legislative Council.

House Joint Resolution requesting the Game and Inland Fish Com-
mission to take necessary measures to improve the supply of rabbit
and small game for hunting in the State.
Whereas, There has been in recent years a decline in the supply
of rabbit and small game in the State for hunting purposes, due in
part to the increasing urbanization of the State with the result that
many formerly usable hunting lands are cleared and used for con-
struction of residences and buildings; and
Whereas, The urban push has driven rabbit and small game fur-
ther away from normal hunting areas in the search for food and
shelter; and
