SHALL MAKE RULES AND CONTRACTS FOR THE TRANS-
PORTATION OF SUCH CHILDREN TO AND FROM SUCH
SCHOOLS; PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT THE TRANSPORTA-
TION BENEFITS ACCORDED CHILDREN UNDER THIS SEC-
TION SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE SAME RULES AND
STANDARDS APPLICABLE TO AND SHALL BE NEITHER
MORE NOR LESS THAN THE TRANSPORTATION BENEFITS
ACCORDED PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS BY THE BOARD OF
EDUCATION OF THE COUNTY.

The county commissioners are hereby authorized AND DIRECTED
to levy and appropriate annually sufficient funds to defray any
cost incurred by it in carrying into effect the provisions of the
preceding section and for the establishment of new bus routes for
transporting children to and from the public schools of the county,
and schools other than public schools which schools do not receive
state aid except such schools as are operated for profit in whole or in
part. WHENEVER SUCH ROUTES ARE NECESSARY TO EF-
FECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THE PRECEDING SEC-
TION; OR OTHERWISE if in their discretion the board of education
of the county and the county commissioners deem it desirable to estab-
lish new routes and to purchase additional buses for such transporta-
tion. The transportation of children to and from schools other than
public schools [not receiving state aid] which schools do not receive
state aid except such schools as are operated for profit in whole or in
part shall be upon such reasonable terms and conditions as the board
BOARD of education EDUCATION may from time to time determine,
but in no event shall the amount charged children attending such
schools for using UTILIZING such buses or OTHER conveyances be
greater or less than the amount charged children attending the public
schools for the same kind of transportation.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to add new Section 2-14.1 to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Anne Arundel County (1957 Edition and 1961 Supplement, being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Anne Arundel County," subtitle "Chapter 2. Administration,"
subheading "Article III. County Commissioners," to follow imme-
diately after Section 2-14 thereof; and to repeal and re-enact, with
amendments, Sections 2-13, 2-14 and 2-15 of said Code; relating to
the number and selection of the county commissioners of Anne
Arundel County, providing for the election in 1966 and thereafter,
of four county commissioners and a full time President of the
Board of County Commissioners, providing for the compensation,
powers and duties of the president and that he shall be elected
county wide, and establishing four commissioner districts in the
