In addition to the Circuit Court judge for Harford County for
which provision now is made, there shall be a second judge who shall
likewise be a resident of Harford County. The two judges thus
provided for Harford County shall reside in that county, shall be
elected by the duly qualified voters of that county in accordance with
the provisions of Section 3, Article IV of the Constitution of Mary-
land and shall be selected in the manner provided by Section 5
of Article IV of the Constitution of Maryland and shall be subject
to all the provisions of the Constitution and laws relating to the
3rd judicial circuit and the several judges thereof.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Harford County are hereby authorized to pay from the general
or contingency funds of the county such amounts as may be neces-
sary, prior to the adoption of the next annual county budget, to
properly effectuate the provisions of this Act.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 125 SEC-
TIONS 125(C) AND (D) AND SECTIONS 128(A) AND (B) of
Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement),
title "Courts," subtitle "Municipal Court of Baltimore City," in
order to increase the salaries of the several judges thereof, to
change the formula for the payment of pensions to retired judges,
and to change the formula for the payment of pensions to widows
of judges thereof; relating to the pensions payable to retired judges
practicing law, INCREASING CERTAIN COURT COSTS IN THE
CRIMINAL DIVISION AND IN THE TRAFFIC DIVISION OF
THE MUNICIPAL COURT, and otherwise relating generally to
the salaries and pensions of judges AND TO THE SCHEDULE OF
COSTS of the Municipal Court of Baltimore City.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 125 SECTIONS 125(C) AND (D) AND SECTIONS
128(A) AND (B) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
title "Courts," subtitle "Municipal Court of Baltimore City," be and
it is THEY ARE hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
125.
(a). The chief judge of said court shall be paid a salary of
[$16,000.00] $18,000.00 per annum. It shall be the duty of the chief
judge to care for the general business of the court and the general
administration thereof with supervisory control over the several
