the recommendation of the members of the Commission from Prince
George's County.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency law and necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public health and safety, and being passed upon yea and
nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each
of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 820
(House Bill 967)

AN ACT relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District,
adding additional areas within Montgomery County to the Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary District, the additional areas being
CERTAIN OF the Rural Water Areas in Montgomery County
heretofore established, and two additional areas, said additional
areas, being respectively, in the Olney Election District and in the

Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, Damascus and Laytonsville Election
Districts of Montgomery
AND AN ADDITIONAL AREA IN THE
OLNEY ELECTION DISTRICT OF MONTGOMERY County,
and suspending the imposition of taxes and assessment charges
in the areas hereby added to the Sanitary District until service
thereto becomes available.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the areas herein described are added to the Washington Subur-
ban Sanitary District created by Chapter 122 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1918:

(1)  Both fee THE areas within the Rural Water Areas, created by
Chapter 710 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1959, as added
to or enlarged by Chapters 511 AND 542 and 772 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1961, are specifically included with-
in the area added to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, and
from and after the effective date of this Act the said Rural Water
Areas shall cease to exist as such and the areas therein shall be sub-
ject to the provisions specified in Section 2 hereof.

(2)   All that area in the Olney Election District of Montgomery
County lying within the following described boundaries:

Beginning for the same at a point on the existing boundary of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, said point being east
of, at right angles to, and 1000 feet distant from the east line of the
Brookeville Turnpike (Georgia Avenue) and north of, at right angles
to, and 500 feet distant from the north side of the Ashton-Olney
Road and running thence in an easterly direction, north of, 500 feet
distant from, and parallel to the north line of the Ashton-Olney Road
to a point due North of the intersection of the centerlines of the
Ashton-Olney Road and the Old Baltimore Road, thence running due
North for a distance of 5300 feet measured from said centerline
intersection of said Roads to a point, thence running due West to a
