MISSION TO DEFINE THE BOUNDARY OF ANY GENERAL
PLAN IN DETAIL.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5 of Chapter 780 of the Laws of 1959 is hereby repealed
and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows: AND TO ADD
TWO NEW SUBSECTIONS TO SECTION 63 OF CHAPTER 780
OF THE LAWS OF 1959 TO BE KNOWN AS SUBSECTION 63
(C), 63 (D), SAID AMENDMENTS AND ADDITIONS TO READ
AS FOLLOWS:

5. Compensation of members; full-time members.

Each member of the commission shall receive an annual salary of
[thirty six hundred dollars ($3,600)] FROM MONTGOMERY
COUNTY SHALL RECEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF
THIRTY-
SIX HUNDRED ($3,600) DOLLARS AND EACH MEMBER OF

THE COMMISSION FROM PRINCE GEORCE'S COUNTY, BE-
CAUSE OF THE ADDITIONAL DUTIES IMPOSED UPON THEM
IN PROCESSING ZONING MAP
APPLICATIONS, SHALL RE-
CEIVE AN ANNUAL SALARY OF forty-eight hundred dollars
($4,800)
payable monthly from the administrative tax collected by
the commission. In the discretion of the respective appointing
authorities, a member of the commission from each county may be
designated to serve on a full-time basis, and this member may be
either the chairman or the vice-chairman of the commission if the
governing body so directs. For any such member designated to serve
on a full-time basis, the governing body may authorize such supple-
mentary salary as it may deem appropriate, and this supplementary
salary shall also be payable from the administrative tax collected by
the commission. COMMISSION.

63. DISTRICT PLAN GENERALLY.

(C)   IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, THE COMMISSION
SHALL FIRST RECEIVE THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE DIS-
TRICT COUNCIL BEFORE INITIATING ANY SUCH PLAN OR
PART THEREOF, AND THAT ANY PLAN ADOPTED BY THE
COMMISSION SHALL BE REFERRED TO THE DISTRICT
COUNCIL FOR REVIEW AND CONSIDERATION. THE DIS-
TRICT COUNCIL SHALL APPROVE, DISAPPROVE, OR RE-
TURN THE PLAN TO THE COMMISSION FOR FURTHER CON-
SIDERATION WITHIN NINE MONTHS; OTHERWISE THE
SAME SHALL BE CONSIDERED AS AN APPROVED PLAN FOR
THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF THE DISTRICT AS SET
FORTH IN THIS SECTION.

ANY PLANS NOW ADOPTED SHALL REMAIN EFFECTIVE,
ANY PLANS PENDING BEFORE THE COMMISSION AT THE
TIME THIS ACT BECOMES EFFECTIVE SHALL BE AP-
PROVED, DISAPPROVED OR REFERRED TO THE COMMIS-
SION BY THE DISTRICT COUNCIL WITHIN NINE MONTHS,
OTHERWISE THE SAME SHALL BE CONSIDERED AS AN AP-
PROVED PLAN FOR THE FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF THE
DISTRICT AS SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION.

(D)  IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY THE COMMISSION SHALL,
IN ITS RESOLUTION ADOPTING SUCH PLAN, DEFINE IN
