1716                            LAWS OF MARYLAND                      [CH. 812

SOUTHWEST OF STATE ROUTE #355 FOR A DISTANCE OF
APPROXIMATELY 1,700 FEET; THENCE FOLLOWING THE
PRESENT WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT
BOUNDARY, RUNNING GENERALLY SOUTHEASTWARD
ACROSS STATE ROUTE #355 AND VIERS MILL ROAD TO AN
INTERSECTION WITH THE B & O RAILROAD IN THE
SOUTHEAST SECTION OF ROCKVILLE; THENCE SOUTH-
EASTWARD ALONG THE B. & O. RAILROAD FOR A DIS-
TANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 2,300 FEET TO A POINT OF
INTERSECTION WITH WASHINGTON AVENUE; THENCE
COINCIDING WITH THE PRESENT WASHINGTON SUBUR-
BAN SANITARY DISTRICT BOUNDARY LINE, GENERALLY
WESTWARD CROSSING U.S. ROUTE #240 AT THE MONTROSE
ROAD INTERCHANGE; THENCE, STILL COINCIDING WITH
SAID SANITARY DISTRICT BOUNDARY LINE, RUNNING
GENERALLY NORTHWESTWARD, INTERSECTING FALLS
ROAD AT A POINT APPROXIMATELY 3,500 FEET NORTH OF
THE INTERSECTION OF FALLS ROAD AND THE PROPOSED
PATH OF THE CIRCUMFERENTIAL BELTWAY; THENCE,
STILL COINCIDING WITH SAID SANITARY DISTRICT BOUN-
DARY LINE, FOLLOWING FALLS ROAD NORTH FOR AP-
PROXIMATELY 1,100 FEET; THENCE GENERALLY NORTH-
WESTWARD TO A POINT APPROXIMATELY 800 FEET DUE
SOUTH OF THE CUL-DE-SAC AT THE END OF CARRIAGE
COURT; THENCE NORTHEAST APPROXIMATELY 1,300 FEET
TO A POINT APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET SOUTH OF SCOTT
DRIVE AND 500 FEET EAST OF CARRIAGE COURT; THENCE
PARALLEL TO AND APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET SOUTH OF
SCOTT DRIVE, IN A NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION, TO AN
INTERSECTION WITH GLEN MILL ROAD; THENCE FOLLOW-
ING GLEN MILL ROAD NORTHWESTWARD TO ITS INTER-
SECTION WITH STATE ROUTE #28 AND THE POINT OF
BEGINNING.

NOTHING HEREIN SHALL BE CONSTRUED TO EXCLUDE
FROM THE SAID WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DIS-
TRICT ANY PROPERTY WITHIN THE MAXIMUM EXPAN-
SION AREA OF THE SAID CITY OF ROCKVILLE, OR ANY
OTHER AREA, WHICH IS SPECIFICALLY INCLUDED IN THE
SAID WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT BY
ANY OTHER ACT OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1963.

SEC. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT THE MONT-
GOMERY COUNTY COUNCIL MAY, AND IT IS HEREBY AU-
THORIZED TO, EXTEND THE BOUNDARIES OF THE WASH-
INGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT, WITHIN MONT-
GOMERY COUNTY, FROM TIME TO TIME, BY ORDINANCE,
FOLLOWING A REFERRAL OF ITS PROPOSED ORDINANCE
TO THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY COMMISSION
AND THE MARYLAND-NATIONAL CAPITAL PARK AND
PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE REVIEW AND RECOM-
MENDATIONS OF SAID COMMISSIONS. THE SAID COMMIS-
SIONS SHALL, WITHIN 30 DAYS OF SUCH REFERRAL, RE-
SPECTIVELY TRANSMIT TO THE SAID COUNTY COUNCIL
THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE PROPOSED ORDI-
NANCE. IN THE EVENT THAT EITHER OF THE SAID COM-
MISSIONS SHALL RECOMMEND AGAINST THE ENACTMENT
