Election District (No. 14), and Prince George's County, to its point
of intersection with the westerly right-of-way line of the Baltimore-
Washington Parkway, being the easternmost boundary of the Mary-
land-Washington Metropolitan District; thence in a southerly direc-
tion with and along the said easternmost boundary of the Maryland-
Washington Metropolitan District to its intersection with the north-
ern boundary line of the Kent Election District (No. 13); thence
with and along the said boundary line of the Kent Election District
(No. 13) in an easterly and southerly direction to its point of inter-
section with the John Hanson Highway, being the point of beginning.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and being passed by a yea and
nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

(House Bill 783)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 121 and
122 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles County (1962
Supplement, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle "Fire Companies,"
to increase AND CHANGE THE METHOD OF COMPUTING
annual appropriations by Charles County to certain fire companies
and rescue squads in the county, and adding Waldorf AND BEL
ALTON Volunteer Fire Department DEPARTMENTS to those
receiving appropriations. , ELIMINATING THE ANNUAL AP-
PROPRIATION TO THE CHARLES COUNTY CENTRAL FIRE
WATCH.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 121 and 122 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Charles
County (1962 Supplement, being Article 9 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Charles County," subtitle "Fire Com-
panies," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

121.

(a)   The County Commissioners shall pay annually the following
sums to the organizations listed below:

(b)  $5,000 $6,000 to the La Plata Fire Department.

to the Hughesville Fire Department.
to the Waldorf Fire Department.
to the Nanjemoy Fire Department.
to the Indian Head Fire Department.
to the Potomac Heights Fire Department.
to the Fifth District Fire Department.
to the Tenth District Fire Department.
to the Benedict Fire Department.
