dollars ($4.00) where the film averages more than sixteen (16)
frames to the foot, and a fee of [one dollar ($1.00)] one dollar and
fifty cents ($1.50)
ONE DOLLAR AND TWENTY-FIVE CENTS
($1.25) for the approval of every duplicate of one thousand feet
(1,000) or fractional part thereof, where the duplicate averages
sixteen (16) frames or less to the foot, and a fee of two dollars
($2.00) where the duplicate averages more than sixteen (16) frames
to the foot. For the examination of each set of views, the Board shall
receive in advance a fee of two dollars ($2.00) for each one hundred
(100) views or fractional part thereof, and for the approval of dupli-
cate views or prints thereof a fee of one dollar ($1.00) for each one
hundred (100) views or fractional part thereof. All approvals of
duplicates must be applied for by the same person within the year
after the examination and approval of the original film or set of
views. The Board shall receive in advance a fee of one dollar ($1.00)
for replacing any certificate or stamp of approval in accordance with
the provisions of § 7 of this article; and the Board shall account for
and pay all fees received by it into the State treasury.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
on June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 721
(House Bill 942)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 98 (a)
and Section 108 (15) (a) and (a-1) of Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title
"Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrates System,"
providing for an increase in the term for the judges of the
People's Court of Montgomery County commencing with the
appointees in May of 1963 and January of 1970, and increasing
the salaries of said judges by two thousand dollars ($2,000) per
year. AND CLARIFYING THE PROVISIONS SETTING FORTH
THE NUMBER OF JUDGES AUTHORIZED FOR SAID COURT.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 98 (a) and Section 108 (15) (a) and (a-1) of Article
52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1962
Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle "Trial Magis-
trates System," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

98.

(a) As of June 15, 1955, the county council for Montgomery
County shall appoint three judges of the People's Court of Mont-
gomery County who shall meet the qualifications provided in this
article and who shall serve until the first day of May in the year
1963 or until their successors are appointed and qualified. As of
the first day of May, 1963, and as of the first day of May in every
[eighth] tenth year thereafter, the county council of Montgomery
