(11) The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such duties as
may be prescribed by the several laws of the State and by the local
laws of their respective counties.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

(Senate Bill 185)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 85 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition, being
Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Allegany County", sub-title "County Treasurer", amending the
local laws of Allegany County with respect to the office and office
hours of the Treasurer of Allegany County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 85 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County
(1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title "County Treasurer", be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
85. The said treasurer shall occupy an office in the Court House
or in some other convenient place [in the City of Cumberland] to be
designated by the County Commissioners, and shall keep his office
open for business [from ten o'clock a.m. to 3 o'clock p.m., every day
in the week, except Sunday and legal holidays, unless a temporary
leave of absence shall be granted by the County Commissioners]
during such hours as conform to the schedule of the office of the
County Commissioners, and said treasurer shall hold himself ready
at all times to transact the business of his office necessary to the
public interest and convenience.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1 and 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition,
being Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title
"Allegany County", sub-title "Almshouse", AS SAID SECTION 2
WAS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 440 OF THE ACTS OF 1957,
changing the designation of this sub-title to be "County Home"
and generally amending the laws concerning the operation, con-
trol, and maintenance of the County Home in Allegany County.
