Section 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 108 (16) (b) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1962 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitle
"Trial Magistrates System," be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(b) The Judges of the People's Court of Prince George's County
shall make a circuit, sitting in Marlboro, Hyattsville, [Capitol Heights
and] Laurel and such other places as the Judges of the People's Court
shall deem necessary and at which adequate facilities are provided
by the County Commissioners of Prince George's County, as often
and for such periods of time as may be required by the work of the
Court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 9 of Article
65 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition) title "Mili-
tia" subtitle "In General" providing for the appointment, tenure,
grade, salary, and duties of the Assistant Adjutant General, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE GRADE OF THE ADJUTANT GEN-
ERAL.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 9 of Article 65 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition), title "Militia," subtitle "In General," be and the same is
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

The Adjutant General shall be appointed by the Governor by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate. He shall have a commis-
sioned grade not above that of major LIEUTENANT general, and his
salary shall be as stated in the annual budget. He may be appointed by
the Governor as chief of staff of the Governor's staff.
The Assistant Adjutant General shall be appointed by the Gover-
nor and his term of office shall be at the pleasure of the Governor.
He shall have a commissioned grade not above that of Brigadier Gen-
eral, and his salary shall be as stated in the annual budget. He will
perform such military duties as may be assigned him by the Governor
or by the Adjutant General.
The Governor may choose a staff consisting of the Adjutant Gen-
eral, and not more than twelve aides. The aides will be selected by
the Governor from among the commissioned officers of the National
