(House Bill 632)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 13-17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick County (1959 Edition,
being Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Frederick County," subtitle "County Roads Board," increas-
ing the annual expense allowance of the County Commissioners of
Frederick County from $600.00 to $1600.00.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 13-17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Frederick
County (1959 Edition, being Article 11 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Frederick County," subtitle "County Roads
Board," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

13-17.

Each appointed member of the county roads board shall be paid
the sum of five dollars per meeting for actual attendance at regular
or duly called special meetings for purposes of covering expenses inci-
dental to such attendance. The county commissioners shall each be
paid from the funds of the county roads board the sum of one thou-
sand, two hundred dollars annually, as compensation for their services
on the board, such sum to be in addition to the compensation allowed
them as county commissioners, as well as one thousand six hundred
dollars annually toward traveling and other expenses in connection
with their duties as members of the county roads board. Each mem-
ber of the county roads board, when acting in his official capacity as
a member of such board, shall receive traveling expenses at the rate
of ten cents per mile, in addition to the sums provided by this section.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 49 of
Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1962 Supplement),
title "Public Education," subtitle "County Board of Education,"
increasing the annual expense allowances of members of the Fred-
erick County Board of Education from $300.00 to $500.00.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 49 of Article 77 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1962 Supplement), title "Public Education," subtitle "County Board
of Education," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
