(7) SHOULD ANY MEMBER IN ANY PERIOD OF SIX CON-
SECUTIVE YEARS AFTER LAST BECOMING A MEMBER BE
ABSENT FROM SERVICE MORE THAN FIVE YEARS, OR
SHOULD HE WITHDRAW HIS ACCUMULATED CONTRIBU-
TIONS, OR SHOULD HE BECOME A BENEFICIARY OR DIE, HE
SHALL THEREUPON CEASE TO BE A MEMBER; AND ANY
MEMBER WHO HAD TERMINATED MEMBERSHIP IN THE
EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM MAY UPON APPROVAL
OF THE BOARD AND UPON DEPOSIT INTO THE TEACHERS'
RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF THE ACCUMULATED CONTRIBU-
TIONS PREVIOUSLY WITHDRAWN FROM THE EMPLOYEES'
SYSTEM, WITH INTEREST TO DATE OF DEPOSIT, RECEIVE
CREDIT IN THE TEACHERS' SYSTEM FOR THE SERVICE
THAT HAD PREVIOUSLY BEEN TERMINATED.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 481 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County (1953
Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland), title "Prince George's County," subtitle "County
Treasurer," as last amended by Chapter 132 of the Acts of 1955,
to change the period of time for DURING which county funds used
in Prince George's County not required to be used for disbursement
or expenditure may be invested.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 481 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's
County (1953 Edition, being Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland), title "Prince George's County," subtitle "County
Treasurer," as last amended by Chapter 132 of the Acts of 1955, be
and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

The Treasurer shall keep, be held accountable for and pay over
according to law, or upon the directive or order of the County Com-
missioners authorizing disbursement of County funds, the proceeds
of all county taxes levied in said county and all other funds received
from the County Commissioners or for the County and collected by
him; and shall also keep and pay over to the Treasurer of the State,
according to law, all the State taxes levied in said county and col-
