added thereto. If any bill shall remain unpaid for sixty (60) days
after being sent by the Commission, it shall be collectible from the
owner of the property served in the same manner as other debts and
taxes are collectible in the County, and said charges and all penalties
shall be a first lien against said property and the Commission may
file such claims among the Mechanic Lien Records of Allegany
County, Maryland. Upon such filing the charge shall be a lien upon
the said property for a period of five years, and no longer, unless
the same shall be revived or enforced by scire facis as provided in
the Public General Laws of the State of Maryland, and the procedure
in enforcing said lien shall be that as provided in Article 63 in the
Annotated Code of Maryland, entitled "Mechanic's Lien".

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 577
(Senate Bill 146)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 255 (e) of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1962 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Orphans'
Court", providing for an increase in travel allowance of Judges of
Orphans' Court in Worcester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 255 (e) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1962 Supplement), title "Testamentary Law",
sub-title "Orphans' Court", be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

255.

(e) Each of the judges of the orphans' court for Carroll, Charles,
Queen Anne's, Somerset, and Worcester counties shall receive the sum
of eight dollars ($8.00) for every day's attendance upon the sessions
of said court. The judges of the orphans' court for Queen Anne's
[and Worcester counties] county shall receive an allowance for
traveling expenses of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450.00) per
year. The judges of the orphans' court for Worcester County shall
receive an allowance for traveling expenses of eight hundred dollars
($800.00) per year.
The judges of the Orphans' Court for Howard
County shall receive an allowance for traveling expenses of four
hundred and eighty dollars ($480.00) per year. The judges of the
Orphans' Court for Somerset County shall receive an allowance of
six dollars ($6.00) for mileage for every day's attendance upon the
sessions of said court.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.
