Judges Acting as Boards of Registry", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

30.

(a) In addition to the days of registration in the several election
precincts and districts as provided by this sub-title, the supervisors
of elections of any county are hereby authorized to provide for the
registration of voters and change of party affiliation and removals
as provided by Sections 28 and 38 (c) of this article, at their respec-
tive offices at their respective county seats or other places, in such
county on such additional days and during such hours as they shall
determine, but not later than the time prescribed in Section 29
herein; however, the Supervisors of Elections of Wicomico County
and Worcester County in their discretion may elect to use the periods
of registration days which are provided in Section 38 (a) of this
article, rather than the periods specified in Section 29. In the event
the supervisors of elections of any county shall provide for such
registration, the county commissioners or county council of said
county shall make available sufficient funds to pay the officers of
registration designated or named to make such registration and
other necessary expenses. Either the said supervisors of elections
shall appoint two registration officers (one from each of the two
major political parties of the State) to constitute a board of registry
for the purposes of this section, or one majority member and the
minority member of the board of supervisors of elections may con-
stitute the board of registry for the purposes of this section. Notice
of such additional days and places of registration shall be given as
hereinbefore provided in Section 12 of this article; provided, how-
ever, that when a regular schedule for such additional days and
places of registration is so authorized, such notice need be given with
respect to such schedule and not as to the several days and places
for such additional registration.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1963.

CHAPTER 575
(Senate Bill 636)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 6, 9, and
12 of Article 51 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1962 Supplement), title "Juries", sub-title "Qualification and
Selection of Jurors" to add new sub-section (h) to Section 10 of
said sub-title; and to add Sections 230A to 230G, inclusive, to the
Code of Public Local Laws of Cecil County (1961 Edition), being
Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Cecil County", to follow immediately after Section 230 thereof
and to be under the new sub-title "Jurors" providing for the
method of selection of jurors in Cecil County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
