And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court house in
the Town of Chester in said County on the the third tuesday of Novemr.
being the fourteenth day of said month in the year of our Lord One
thousand Seven hundred thirty & eight Cometh the afd Elisha reed
here into Court in his proper person & prayeth that his & his
Suretys recognize. taken as afd for his Appe. to this Court may be
Discharged            Ordered by this Court here that Elisha Reed
his Recognize. taken as afd be Discharged as prayed       Elisha
Reed his recoge. taken as afd is by this Court here Discharged there
being no Cause Shewn to the Contrary &c
Ordered by this Court here that the afd Elisha reed enter into recoge.
with Security for his Appearance to next Court to answer unto
Indictment of fornication            Thereupon Elisha Reed, Nathl.
Kennard & Caleb Beck of Kent County Labourers and present
here in Court in their proper persons Acknowledgeth themselves
Indebted to his Lordship the right honourable the Lord propry
                 Elisha Reed
of Maryland ^ in the sum of twenty pounds Currt. money of the
province afd and Nathll. Kennard & Caleb Beck in the sum
of ten pounds like money each to be made & Leveyed on their bodys
goods & Chattles Lands & Tenements for the use of his said Ldp
his heirs & Successors With Condition to this recognizance
that Elisha Reed do make his Personall Appe. before the Justices
of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house in the Town
of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of March next then
ad there to stand & abide the Judgmt. of the Court Then this
recognize. to be void Else to remain in full force in Law
Ordered by this Court here that Jane Reed give Security for her Appe.
to next March Court as an Evide. in behalf of his Lordship agst. the
afd Elisha Reed            Thereupon Jane Reed of Kent County
Spinster & present here in Court Acknowledgeth herself Indebted to
his Ldp the right Honrble the Lord propry of Maryld in the sum of
five pounds Currt. money of the province afd to be made & Leveyed
on her body goods & Chattles Lands & Tenemts. for the Use of the
said Lordship his heirs & Successors With Condition to this recoge
that Jane Reed do make her personall Appe. before the Justices
of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house in the Town
of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of March next
Then and there to give in Evidence in behalf of his Lordship
against the afd Elisha Reed Then this recognize. to be void
Else to remain in full force power & Virtue in Law
