His Lordship    Command was given to the sherr.
agt    of Kent County on the 19th day of Augst.
Margt. Wood    in the 24th year of Our Dominion &ca.
in the Year of Our Lord 1738 That he should take Margt.
Wood late of Kent County Spinster If she should be found
in his Bailwick and her safe keep so that he have her body
before the Justices of Our next County Court to be held at
Our Court house in the Town of Chester in said County on
the third tuesday of Novemr. next to Answer unto a Certain
Indictment for Committing fornication with a Negro
And that the said sher. have at the time & place afd the said
Writt &c                  And now here to wit at Kent County
Court at the Court house in the Town of Chester in said Coty
on the third tuesday of November being the fourteenth day of said
month in the year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty &
eight Cometh Simon Wilmer Gentleman sher. of Kent
County and made Return thereof to the Court here thereon
Indorsed as fol. Vizt. Cepi Corpus pr S. Wilmer sherr.
Kent County fst The Jurors for the right Honourable the
Lord propry that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon
their Oath do present that Margarett Wood late of Saint
Pauls parish in the County afd Spinster the tenth day
of Sepr. Anno Domini seventeen hundred and thirty seven
at the Parish afd in the County afd and within the Jurisdiction
of this Court did Commit fornication with a Certain Negro
Person to the Jurors afd unknown & did permit the same
unknown Person then & there to have carnal knowledge
of her body & a Basterd Mollatto Child on the body of the
Same Margarett then & there to begett Contrary to the
form of the Act of Assembly in such case made
