keep so that he have his body before the Justices of Our next
County Court to be held at Our Court house in the Town of Chester
in said County on the third tuesday in August next to Answer
unto an Information for not Aiding and Assisting the
Constable And that the said sherr. have at the time and place
afd the said Writt &c.            And now here to wit at Kent
County afd at the Court house in the Town of Chester in said
County on the third tuesday of August being the fifteenth day
of said month in the Year of Our Lord seventeen hundred
thirty and eight cometh William Harris Gent. sherr. of the
afd County and made return thereof to the Court here thereon
Endorsed as fol. Vixt. Cepi corpus pr W. Harris sherr.
Kent County fst Be it remembered that Tench Francis
Gent. Attorney of the right Honourable the Lord Propry
who for the same Lord propry in this part prossecuteth
doth come here into the County Court of the same Lord
Propry held for Kent County afd to wit at Chester Town
in the County afd the third tuesday in June Anno Dom.
seventeen hundred and thirty Eight Before James
Harris Esqr. and his Associates the said Lord Propry
his Justices of the same County Court and for the same
Lord propry doth give the same Justices here to understand
and be Informed that Whereas a certain Joseph
Whittington late of Saint pauls parish in the County afd
Planter the            day of            Anno Dom.
seventeen hundred thirty and eight at the Parish afd in
the County afd and within the Jurisdiction of this Court
was arrested by a Certain William Mc.Clean then and
there being the Constable of            Hundred in
the County afd for Assaulting and beating
                 of the same County planter and the said
Joseph Whittington so then and there for the Cause afd
