propry of Maryland in the sum of five pounds current money
of the province afd to be made and Leveyed on his body goods
                                                                              said and Chattles Lands and Tenements for the Use of his ^ Lordship
his heirs and Successors With Condition to this Recognizance
that Richard Cockey do make his personall Appearance before
the Justices of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house
in the Town of CHester in said County on the third tuesday Instant
then and there to give Evidence in behalf of his Lordship against
the afd Richd. Johnson Then this recognizance to be Void
Else to remain in full force in Law            Henry Evans
Ordered by this Court here that the afd Richd. Johnson enter into
Recognizance with Security for the Fees Accrueing on the prses
afd to the Officers of this Court
Thereupon Richard Johnson and Richd. Cockey of Kent
County Planters and present here in Court in their proper
persons Acknowledges themselves indebted to his Lordship
the Right honourable the Lord propry of Maryland in
the sum of five hundred pounds of tobacco to be made and
Leveyed on their bodys goods and Chattles Lands and Tenemt.
for the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successos.
With Condition to this recognizance that Richard Johnson
do pay the Fees Accrueing on the premisses afd to the Officer[s]
of this Court Then this recognizance to be Void Else to
Remain in full force in Law
And now here to wit at Kent County afd at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of
August being the fifteenth day day of said month in the year
of Our Lord Seventeen hundred thirty and eight cometh
the afd William Granger And prayeth that his recognizance
taken as afd for his Appearance as an Evidence in behalf
of his Lordship against the afd Richd Johnson to this
Court may be Discharged                  Ordered by this Court
here that the afd William Granger his recognizance taken
