his heirs and Successors With Condition to this Recognizance
that Mary Thompson do make her personall Appearance before
the Justices of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house in
the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of August
Instant then and there to give in Evidence in behalf of his Lordship
against the afd William Pope Then this Recognizance to Void
Else to remain in full force in Law            Henry Evans
Kent County fst The Jurors for the right honourable
the Lord propry that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon
their Oath do Present that William Pope late of Saint pauls
Parish in the County afd Labourer the first day of May
in the Year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty and eight
at the parish afd in the County afd and within the Jurisdiction
of this Court in and upon William Burcam in the peace
of God and of the said Lord Propry then and there being with
force and Arms an Assault did make and the same William
then and there did beat wound and evilly treat so that of his
life it was greatly dispaired and other harms to him then &
there did to the great damage of the same William And agst.
the peace of God the said Lord propry his Good rule and
Government &ca.
On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indorsed was fol.
Vizt.                  Ignoramus pr Jno. Brown form.
Ordered by this Court here that the afd William pope
enter into recognizance with Security for the Fees Accrue:
:ing on the presmisses afd to the Officers of this Court
Thereupon William Pope of Chester Town Labour:
:er and George Garnett of the sdame place Inn holder
And present here in Court in their proper persons and
Acknowledged themselves Indebted to his Lordship
the right honourable the Lord propry of Maryland
