body of the same Joan then and there to beget contrary to the
form of the Act of Assembly in such case made       Francis
On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indorsed as fol. Vizt.
           Billa Vera pr John Brown foreman
And now here to wit at Kent County afd at the Court house in
the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of
August being the fifteenth day of August in the year of Our Lord
seventeen hundred thrity and eight cometh the afd Lord propry.
by Tench Francis his Attorney and Saith that for as much as
he hath not Evidence Sufficient to maintain the afd Charge
in the Indictment afd Specified against the said Joan Edwards
he will not prossecute the same Indictment any further
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at
Kent County afd at the Court house in the Town of Chester in
said County on the third tuesday of August being the fifteenth
day of said month in the year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred
thirty & Eight that the afd Joan Edwards as to the Indictmt.
afd She go thereof without day and be therefrom Acquitted
&c.                                      Jams Smith Clk

His Lordship   Command was given to the sherr.
agt   of Kent County on the 24th. day of June
Elizth. Kenslaugh   in the 24th year of Our Dominion &c
in the year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty & Eight that He
should take Elizabeth Kenslaugh late of Saint pauls parish
in the County afd Spinster If She should be found in his Bailwk.
and her safe keep so that he have her body before the Justices
of Our next County Court to be held at our Court house in the
Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of August
next to Answer unto an Indictment of fornication And that
the said sherr. have at the time and place afd the said Writt
And now here to wit at kent County afd at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday
