have her body before the Justices of our next County Court
to be held at Our Court house in the Town of Chester in said
County on the third tuesday in August next to Answer unto
an Indictment of fornication And that the said sherr.
have at the time and place afd the said Writt &c.
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court at
house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third
tuesday of August being the fifteenth day of said month
in the year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred thirty and
eight cometh William Harris Gent. sherr. of Kent County
and made Return thereof to the Court here thereon
Indorsed as fol. Vizt. Cepi Corpus pr W Harris sherr.
Kent County fst The Jurors for the right honourable
the Lord propry. that now is for the body of Kent County
afd upon their Oath do present that Joan Edwards late
of Saint pauls pauls parish in the County afd Spinster
the tenth day of October Anno Domini seventeen hundred
thirty and seven at the parish afd in the County afd &
within the Jurisdiction of this Court did commit fornicatn.
with a Certain person to the Jurors afd unknown and
did permit the same unknown person then & there to
have carnal knowledge of her body and to beget then
and there a Bastard Child on the body of her the same
Joan Contrary to Act of Assembly in such case made

On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indors'd as
fol. Vizt.       Billa Vera Jam. Ringgold form.
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court
house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third
