the peace for Kent County James Stewart & Patrick Burn and Acknowledgeth themselves Indebted to his Lordship the Lord propry of the province of Maryld in the sum of twenty pounds current money of this province to be made and Leveyed on their bodys goods and chattels Lands and Tenements for the Use of his said Lordship his heirs and Successors With Condition to this recognizance that James Stewart afd makes his personall Appearance before the Justices of Our next August Court to be held for the County afd Then and there to answer unto Such things as Shall be Objected against him on his Lordships behalf and in the mean time to keep the peace and be of good behavour (Especially towards Ann Gallaway) Then this recognizance to be Void Else to remain in full force in Law Kent County fst The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord propry that now is for the body of Kent County afd upon their Oath do Present that James Steward late of Kent County planter on the first day of August Anno Domini Seventeen hundred and thirty nine with force and Arms at the County afd in and upon a Certain Patrick Burn in the peace of God and the said Lord Propry then and there being an Assault did make and him the said Patrick Burn did then and there beat wound and evilly treat and other harms to him then and there did to the Great Damage of him the same Patrick Burn And against the peace of the Lord propry his good rule and Government &c J George on |
