John Mc.Cracken	Use his Apprintice Daniell Haymer

Ill by beating him and not giveing him Victuals Enough
Evidence Cathⁿ. Cocklin            W^m. Woodland foremⁿ.
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court
house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third
tuesday of August being the twenty first day of said month in the
Year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred thirty & nine cometh Jos^a
George Attorney for the right honourable the Lord prop^ry And
prayeth that the afd John to the presentment afd may Answer
And the afd John in his proper person comes & defends the
force and injury when &c And saith that he cannot gainsay
the presentment afd so as afd against him Brought nor
can he say but that he is guilty of the premisses afd above
upon him Imposed as by the afd presentment it is Sett
fourth and thereof Submits to the Court
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit
at Kent County at Kent County Court at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday
of August being the twenty first day of said month in the
Year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty & nine that
the afd John as to the presentment afd he go thereof
without Day &c Also it is Considered that the said
John pay the Sum of
pounds of tobacco costs accrueing on the premisses
afd to the Severall Officers of this Court
