Mackey late of Kent County Spinster on the first day of November Anno Domini seventeen hundred and thirty eight at the County afd fornication with a certain Man to the Jurors unknown did committ and the same person then and there did permitt to have carnal knowledge of her body and then and there a Bastard child to begett against the peace &c and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such case made and provided &c J George On the Back of the afd Indictmt. was Indors'd as fol. Vizt Billa Vera Jams. Ringgold foreman And now here at the afd third tuesday of August being the twenty first day of said month in the year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty and nine at Kent County Court afd cometh Lord propry by Joshua George his Attorney & prayeth that the afd Susanna McKey to the Indictment afd may Answer And the afd Susa. in her proper person comes and defends the force and injury when &c And saith that she cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd her brought nor can she say but that she is guilty of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed as by the Indictment afd it is alledged and thereof Submits to the Court Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of August being the twenty first day of said month in the year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty and nine thirty Shillings currant money of Maryland as a fine
