His Lordship	Command was given to the sher. of Kent
agt	County on the 23d. day of June in the 25th. year
Jane a Mollatto	of Our Dominion &c in the year of Our Lord
Servt. to Thomas Crow	1739 that he should take Mollatto Jane late

of Kent County Spinster Servant to Thomas Crow If she should be
found in his Bailwick and her safe keep so that he have her body
before the Justices of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court
house in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday
of August next to answer unto an Indictment of Fornication And
that the said sher. have at the time and place afd the said Writ
Att Which said third tuesday in August at Kent County Court afd
cometh Simon Wilmer Gent. sher. of Kent County afd And makes
return thereof to the Court here thereon Indorsed as fol. Viz^t

Kent County fs^t The Jurors for the right honourable the Lord
Prop^ry that now is for the body of Kent County upon their Oath
do present that Mollatto Jane late of Kent County Spinster the
daughter of a White woman and the Servant of Thomas Crow of s^d.
County planter on the first day of October Anno Domini seventeen
hundred and thirty eight at the Cound afd fornication with a Certain
Negro p^rson to the Jurors unknown did committ and the same Negro
p^rson then and there did permitt to have carnall knowledged of her
body and then and there a Bastard child to begett against the
peace &c and against the form of the Act of Assembly in
