The afd Hezekiah being Sworn to the Grand for this Coty
at the afd third tuesday of June after Which they return
the fol. Indictment
Kent County fst The Jurors for the right honourable the
Lord Propry that now is for the body of Kent County upon their
Oath do present that Samuel Chaplin late of the County afd
planter on the Eleventh day of May Anno Dom. seventeen
hundred thirty and nine with force and Arms at the County
afd in and upon a Certain Hezekiah Cox in the peace of God
and the said Lord propry then & there being an Assault did
make and him the said Hezekiah Cox did then & there
beat wound and evilly treat and other harms to him then and
there did to the great damage of the him the said Hezekiah
and against the peace of the said Lord propry his good
rule and Government &c                           J George
On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indictment was
Indorsed as fol. Vizt       Ignoramus pr Ja Ringgold forem.
Att Which said third tuesday of June cometh the afd
Samuel in his proper person here before the Court and
prayeth that his and his Suretys recognizance taken
as may be Dischd.                  Ordered by this Court
here that Samll. Chaplin and Charles Scott their recoge.

no cause shewn to the Contrary
