On the Back of the afd Indictment was Indorsed as fol. Vizt
                          Billa Vera Chrisr. Hall forem.
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at the Court house
in the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday of
June being the nineteenth day of said month in the year of
Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty & nine cometh the afd
Lord propry by Joshua George his Attorney and prayeth
that the afd Margarett to the Indictment afd may answer
And the afd Margarett in her proper person comes
and defends the force and injury when &c And saith that she
cannot gainsay the Indictment afd so as afd against her
brought nor can she say but that she is Guilty of the premisses
afd Above upon her Imposed as by the afd Indictment it is
Alledged and thereof Submits to the Court
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here
to wit at Kent County Court at the Court house in the Town
of Chester in said County on the the third tuesday of June
being the nineteenth day of said month in the year of Our
Lord seventeen hundred thirty & nine that the afd Margt.
Dazey be whipt at the publick Whiping post of the
County afd with fifteen Lashes well laid on 'tell the blood
Appear as a punishment for Committing the fornication
afd Also it is Considered that the said Margarett pay
unto the Severall Officers of this Court the sum of
three hundred and thirty Seven pounds of tobacco Costs
Accrueing on the premisses afd
Ordered by this Court her ethat the Sher. of Kent County
take into his Custody the body of the afd Margarett and
Execute the punishment in the Judgment afd Specified
Att Which said day and year afd last mentioned cometh
Simon Wilmer Gent. sher. of Kent County and makes return there:
:of to the Court here that he hath Executed the punishment in
the Judgment afd Specified And that he have the body of
