Ordered by this Court here that the fine afd be delivered the
sher. of Kent County And Simon Wilmer Gentleman being
present here in Court Acknowledgeth the receipt of the same
Ordered by this Court here that the afd Mary give Security
to the County for maintainance of the Bastard child afd
Thereupon John Howell of Kent County Cooper present
here in Court in his proper person Acknowledgeth himself to
be Indebted unto his Lordship the right honourable the Lord
propry of Maryland in the sum of five thousand pounds of tobo.
to be made and Leveyed on his body goods and chattels Lands
and Tenements for the use of his said Lordship his heirs and
Successors With Condition to this recognizance that the afd John
do keep the County afd harmless from the maintanance of the
bastard child afd Then this recognizance to be Void Else to
remain in full force in Law                           Jams Smith Cl.

His Lordship    Kent County fst The Jurors for
agt    the right honourable the Lord propry
Edmond Dulany    that now is for the body of Kent County

    afd upon their Oath do present that
Edmond Dulany late of said County Physitean on the first
day of March Anno Dom. seventeen hundred thirty & eight with
force and Arms at the County afd in and upon a Certain Phil.
Christfeild in the peace of God & the said Lord propry then
& there being an Assault did make and him the said Phillip
Christfeild then & there did beat wound & evilly treat &
other harms to him then & there did to the great damage of
of him the said Philip and against the peace of the said
Lord propry his good rule & Government &c

as fol. Vizt. A true Bill Chrisr Hall forem.
And now here to wit at Kent County Court at
