His Lordship	Command was given to the sher.
agt	of Kent County on the 24th day of March in
Mary Norris	the 25th year of Our Domn. & in the year
	of Our Lord 1738 that he should take Mary

Norris late of Kent County Spinster if she should be found in his
Bailwick & her safe keep so that he have her body before the
Justices of Our next County Court to be held at Our Court house in
the Town of Chester in said County on the third tuesday in June
next to answer unto Indictment of fornication &c And that the
said sher. have at the time & place afd the said Writt &c
Att Which said third tuesday of June being the ninteenth day
of said month in the year of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty &
nine cometh Simon Wilmer Gent. sher. of Kent County and makes
return thereof to the Court here thereon Indorsed as fol. Viz^t
                          Cepi Corpus p^r S Wilmer Sher.
Kent County fs^t The Jurors for the Right honourable the
Lord prop^ry that now is for the body of Kent County upon their
Oath do present that Mary Norris late of Kent County Spinster
on the first day of May Anno Dom. seventeen hundred thirty &
eight at Kent County afd did Committ fornication with a certain
Negro man to the Jurors afd unknown and the same negro
man then & there did permitt to have carnall Knowledge of her
body and then & there to begett on the body of her the same
Mary Norris a Mollatto Bastard child to the Evill Example
of all others in the like Case offending And against the peace &c
and against the form of the Act of Assembly in such case offending
made and provided &c                           J George
