of Our Lord seventeen hundred thirty & eight Cometh the afd Lord
propry by Joshua George his Attorney and prayeth that the
afd Ann to the Indictmt. afd may Answer       And the afd
Ann in her proper person comes and defends the force and
injury when &c And saith that She cannot gainsay the Indictmt.
afd so as afd against her brought nor can she say but that she
is Guilty of the premisses afd above upon her Imposed as by
the afd Indictment it is alledged and thereof Submits to the Court
Therefore it is Considered by the Justices here to wit at
Kent County Court at the Court house in the Town of Chester
in said County on the third tuesday of March being the twen:
:tyeth day of said month in the year of Our Lord Seventeen hundd.
thirty and eight that the afd Ann Grimes pay the sum of One
pound ten Shillings Current money of Maryland as a fine
for Committing the fornication afd According to Act of Assembly
in that case made and provided &c                  Also it is
Considered by the Justices here to wit at Kent County Court at the
Court house in the Town of Chester afd on the day & year afd
last mentioned that the said Ann pay the sum of
                          pounds of tobacco Costs Accrueing
on the premisses afd to the Officers of this Court &c
Ordered by this Court here that the fine afd be delivered the
sher. of Kent County and Simon Wilmer Gentleman sher. of Kent
County being present here in Court Acknowledgeth the receipt
of the Same            And now here on the day & year afd last
mentioned Cometh here into Court George Wilson & Elinor his
wife and Lambert Wilmer and prayeth that their recoge. taken
as afd for the Appe. of the afd George & Elinor to this Court as Evide.
in behalf of his Lordship against the afd Ann Grimes may be
Discharged       Ordered by this Court here that George Wilson &
Elinor his wife and Lambert Wilmer their recoge. taken as afd
be Discharged as prayed       George Wilson Elinor his wife
& Lambert Wilmer their recoge. taken as afd is by this Court here
Discharged their being no cause Shewn to the Contrary &c
Att Which said day & year afd Cometh the afd Ann here into Court
in her proper person & prayeth that her and her Suretys recoge.
taken for her Appe. to this Court may be Dischd. Ordered by
this Court here that Ann Grimes and Lambt. Wilmer her Surety
recoge. be Dischd. As prayed Ann Grimes & Lambt. Wilmer
their recoge. taken as afd is by this Court Dischd. there being no cause to the
