Jno. Burk	upon their Oath do present that John Burk late of

Saint Pauls parish in the County afd Labourer the fifteenth day of Nov^r
in the year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred thirty & eight at the parish
afd in the County afd and within the Jurisdiction of this Court in & upon a
Certain Rich^d. Courtney in the peace of God & the same Lord Prop^ry then &
there being with force and Arms an Assault did make and him the said
Rich^d then & there did beat wound & evilly treat so that of his life it was
much dispaired and other harms to him the said Rich^d then & there did to the
great damage of the said Rich^d. and against the peace of the said Lord prop^ry
his good rule & Government &c^a            D Dulany p^r Dn^o. Prop^ry

Ordered by this Court here that the afd William give Security for the
