In section 2, strike out all after the word "trade," in line
26, and insert "does not or will not exceed one thousand dol-
lars, then the sum of twelve dollars, shall be demanded and
received by said clerk from said applicant, before granting
the license applied for, if more than one thousand dollars,
and not more than fifteen hundred dollars, then the sum of
fifteen dollars; if more than fifteen hundred dollars and not
more than twenty-five hundred dollars, then the sum of eigh-
teen dollars; if more than twenty-five hundred dollars and
not more than four thousand dollars, then the sum of twenty-
two dollars; if more than four thousand dollars and not more
than six thousand dollars, then the sum of thirty dollars; if
more than six thousand dollars and not more than eight thou-
sand dollars, then the sum of forty dollars; if more than eight
thousand dollars and not more than ten thousand dollars,
then the sum of fifty dollars; if more than ten thousand dol-
lars and not more than fifteen thousand dollars, then the sum
of sixty-five dollars; if more than fifteen thousand dollars and
not more than twenty thousand dollars, then the sum of
eighty dollars; if more than twenty thousand dollars and not
more than thirty thousand dollars, then the sum of one hun-
dred dollars; if more than thirty thousand dollars and not
more than forty thousand dollars, then the sum of one hun-
dred and twenty-five dollars; if more than forty thousand dol-
lars, then the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, shall be
demanded and received by said clerk, before granting to the
applicant the license applied for; provided, if said applicant
live out of the county or city, or is unable to apply in person,
by reason of sickness or bodily infirmity, his or her agent may
apply for license as provided by this section."
In section five, line twelve, strike out "responsible" and
insert "respectable."
In section 6, after the word "house" in line 14, the words
"part or portion of the house."
