The said bill was then sent to the Senate.

The title of said bill was amended to read thus:

"An act to grant an additional donation to St. John's Col-
lege."

The bill entitled, an act to regulate the Weighing and
Measuring of Wheat in Baltimore city,

Being on its second reading,

Mr. Thomas proposed the following amendment:

In section 1, line 2, after the word "all," strike out the
word "wheat," and insert "grain and seed ;"
Which was not assented to.
Mr. Tilghman moved that said bill lie over,
Determined in the affirmative.

Mr. Stirling from the majority of the committee on Ways
and Means, made the following                                           

REPORT.

The majority of the committee on Ways and Means, report
unfavorably on the Senate bill entitled, an act to provide for
the payment of the unexpended balance of the appropriation
made for internal improvements on the Eastern Shore of this
State of the act of December session 1835, chapter 395.

Which was read.

Mr. Goldsborough, from the minority of the same commit-
tee, made the following

REPORT.

The undersigned constituting a minority of the committee
on Ways and Means, beg leave to dissent from the report
submitted by a majority of the committee and present to the
favorable consideration of the House the act entitled, an act
to provide for the payment of the unexpended balance of the
appropriation made for internal improvements on the Eastern
Shore of this State by the act of December session 1835,
chapter 395, as a substitute therefor.
