Mr. Smith, of Baltimore county, from a select committee,
reported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate
the City and Hampden Railroad Company ;

Which was read the first time.

A bill entitled, an act for the establishment of a Normal
or Training School for Teachers, and an office in connection
therewith, for the collection and dissemination of informa-
tion, on the subject of education, at St. John's College, in
the city of Annapolis; with the substitute amendments
thereto ;

Was read the second time, and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,
The rules were suspended, and

Said bill was read the third time, and passed by yeas and
