The said resolutions were then sent to the Senate.
Mr. Magruder, from the committee on Judiciary, reported
favorably on a bill entitled an act to release Win. Price,
Thomas McKaig, George W. Brown and George A. Pearre,
and also to release the Cumberland Coal and Iron Company
from the claim for taxes preferred, in their State's bill in
equity, filed in the Circuit Court for Allegany county, as a
Court of Equity, on the 2nd day of December, in the year
1854, and requiring said bill to be dismissed :
