A bill entitled, an act to preserve certain unpatented certi-
ficates of surveys in the Land Office of Maryland;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Comptroller to set-
tle the accounts of James J. Blackistone, of St. Mary's coun-

ty;

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Comptroller to set-
tle the accounts of John Saxton, late collector of direct tax,
of St. Mary's county;

A bill entitled, an act to repair the armory at Easton.
Mr. Alexander, from the committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported favorably on the following Senate bills:

A bill entitled, an act relating to the recording of deeds;

A bill entitled, an act requiring justices of the peace in and
for Queen Anne's country, to make all summonses for debt
returnable before a justice of the peace in the election district
where the defendant or defendants reside;

A Senate bill entitled, an act to make valid a certain deed
from James D. Sturgis, and Sarah A. Sturgis, his wife, to
Henry J. P. Dickinson.

Mr. Harrington, from the committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, an act to authorise
the several counties and incorporated towns in this State, to
aid in the construction of internal improvements.

Mr. Stirling, chairman of the committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably on a bill entitled, an act making
appropriations for the support of the Government for the year
ending on the 1st day of January, 1860.

The Senate bill entitled, an act making an appropriation
for the erection of a Hospital for the insane of this State;

Was read the second and third times, by special order, and
passed by yeas and nays, as follow:
