Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dail, from the committee on Claims, reported favorably
upon the bill entitled, an act confirmatory of the act passed
at January session eighteen hundred and fifty-six, appropri-
ating the sum of one hundred dollars, as compensation to
Henry Hagan, of Allegany county, for the arrest of Miller,
who was executed at Cumberland for the murder of Doctor
Hadel and Mr. Graff;

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Harrington, from the committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably on the bill entitled, a supplement to the act
entitled, an act to incorporate the Canton Company of Balti-
more, passed at December session 1828, chapter 159.

Which was read the second time, by special order, the third
time, three-fourths of the members concurring, and passed by
