Which was read the first time, referred to the committee
on Claims.

A bill entitled, a further supplement to the act entitled, an
act to incorporate the Mutual Insurance Company of Freder-
ick county;

Which was read a first time, and referred to the committee
on Corporations.

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the clerk of the Circuit
Court for Cecil county, to rebind certain indexes and record
books;

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Cecil coun-
ty delegation.

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the County Commis-
sioners of Cecil county, to increase their annual levy, so as to
pay the current expenses of the county, within the year;

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Cecil
county delegation; also,

A bill entitled, an act to extend the powers of the Presi-
dent and Commissioners of the town of Elkton;

Which was read a first time, and referred to the Cecil
county delegation; also,

A bill entitled, an act to provide for the public execution
of malefactors, convicted and sentenced for capital offences in
Frederick county, within the limits of the enclosed yard of the
jail of said county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Fred-
erick county delegation; also,

A bill entitled, a supplement to the act for carrying into
effect the 22d section of the 4th article of the Constitution,
passed at January session, 1852, chapter 68;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Judiciary; also,

Returned the bill entitled, a supplement to an act entitled,
an act to promote the more general diffusion of information
respecting the proceedings of the Commissioners of Worces-
ter county, in this State;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays, with proposed 'amend-
ment."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Section 1, 4th line, after the word "county," insert "if in
their judgment the public interest requires it;"
