A bill entitled, an act to authorise the County Commis-
sioners of Kent county to establish two new school districts,
in said county;

The bill entitled, an act for the enforcement of the police
regulation and ordinances of the Burgess and Commissioners
of the town of Sharpsburg, in Washington county;

The bill entitled, an act to change the corporate name,
style and title of the Mechanics' Exchange and Saving's Com-
pany, incorporated by the General Assembly of Maryland, at
January session, 1852, chapter 306, to that of Exchange
Bank.

A bill entitled, an act amendatory of an act entitled, an
act to incorporate the proprietors of the Rose Bank Cemetery,
passed at February session 1847, chapter 293;

A bill entitled, an act to compensate Bradley T. Johnson,
for the trial of certain cases in the Court of Appeals as counsel
on the part of the State by appointment of the Governor;

A bill entitled, an act for the relief of Joshua Brown, of
Anne Arundel county;

Severally endorsed, passed by yeas and nays, without
amendment.

Also the following bill entitled, an act for the benefit of the
heirs Frederick Stier, late of Frederick county deceased ;

Also returned the following bills:

A bill entitled, an act to release William O. Reeder, of St.

Endorsed, "rejected by yeas and nays;"
Mary's county, from a judgment in favor of the State of
Maryland confessed by him as security for William Reeder,
late of said county, deceased ;

A bill entitled, an act to amend the act passed at December
session 1849, chapter 269, in so far as relates to Carroll
county;

Severally "endorsed passed by yeas and nays."

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bills :

A bill entitled, an act to modify the punishment of free
negroe's convicted of larceny and other crimes in the State

Which was read the first time, and referred to the commit-
tee on Colored Population.
