Mr. Stirling offered the following order:

Ordered, That the Clerk of this House, transmit daily a
copy of the Journal of this House, to the Board of Trade of
Baltimore city.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Leave was granted to the committee on the Judiciary, to
introduce a bill more effectually to prevent gambling.

On motion of Mr. Mackubin,

Leave was granted to the committee on Ways and Means,
to bring in a bill to repeal the law imposing a tax on Com-
missions to Executors and Administrators.

Mr. Rogers presented the following resolution:               

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby requested to direct the Adjutant
General of this State, to furnish to the President and Faculty
of St. John's college, seventy-five Cadets muskets and accou-
trements including percussion caps, together with twelve Ser-
geants swords and twelve Lieutenants swords fit for parade,
for the use of said college;

Which was laid over under the rule.

The Speaker laid before the House, the report of the clerk
of the Circuit Court of Washington county;

Which was referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Also the report of the School Commissioners of Baltimore
county;

Which was referred to the committee on Education.
